On April 8, Henan Provincial Visa Application Platform for Chinese Citizen was officially launched in the Asian Economic Development Summit 2019, which means Zhengzhou people would locally apply for a visa rather than go to the embassies in Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou.

On April 9, the Platform took the first fingerprint collection on mobile devices. Henan UnionVisa ApplicationService Center invited French visa offices to take on-site fingerprint collection for nearly a hundred citizens for French visa application.

This Platform is jointly initiated by China-Asia Economic Development Association, the People’s Government of Zhengzhou, and the Management Committee of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, and operated by Henan Union Visa Application Service Co., Ltd.

The Platform adopts an automatic form filling system, and provides full-work-flow services from policy advisory, document preparation instruction, forms filling, multilingual translation, consular authentication, visa delivery and complaint for the refusal of visas for personal trip of all types.

As the EU Visa Center in Zhengzhou is still in preparation, the platform opens a green channel in Visa Service Center in Beijing for Henan residents who urgently need a visa during the transition period. They invite visa officers for destination countries such asFranceand theUnited Kingdomto provide door-to-door fingerprint collection service monthly. So that people can finish their visa application at home. The door-to-door visa services to non-EU tourism countries such asCanadaandAustraliawill also be opened.

At the “Asian Economic Development Summit 2019”, Philippe RIGHINI, First Counselor and Consul General of the French Embassy to China, stated in his speech that he hopes the French Visa Center would be set up in Zhengzhou as soon as possible; Cambodian Ambassador to China Mrs. Khek M. Caimealy Sysoda said that Cambodia is already considering the cooperation with “Henan Visa Application Platform” so as to facilitate the application of the Cambodian visa by the public in Central China.

According to the officer of Henan UnionVisa ApplicationService Center, both French visa and British visa can be applied for in April but are respectively available on April 9 and April 16 via the platform.

In addition, for Asian tourist countries that do not adopt the policies of the Visa Center, they have granted the exclusive agency qualification or the priority agency qualification to the Visa Application Platform in Henan according to their Embassy policies. Furthermore, the Platform invites large travel agencies with visa agency qualification to share the office platform, so as to provide applicants with more considerate choices.

Henan Union Visa Application Service Center is located at No. 63 Yuanhang Road, Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, and it will set up offices in the downtown to facilitate the citizen’s life in the future.
